Historical Stitching with Carol Alexander Coutts - Redwork Embroidery
Join Carol Alexander Coutts of "A Stitch Back in Time" as she continues her Historical Stitching Series. Carol will share her life-long love of stitching not only in teaching her techniques and skills to complete wonderful projects, but will add to your experience by including the historical background of these techniques.
Discover the joy of simple but elegant historical hand stitching techniques. All of the projects are wonderful keepsakes or will make beautiful gifts.
October 4 – Redwork Embroidery
In this class you will use some of the stitches learned in September 20th's Sampler class to make either a kitchen towel or a Victorian heart-shaped pincushion/ornament. Please bring your own pair of small sewing scissors.
Provided supplies: Pre-marked fabric, thread, needle and a folder detailing all of the stitches which you will learn.
Cost for materials is $20 (+$5 to keep embroidery hoop) and will be collected at the beginning of class by the instructor.
