Hi! All the kids know me as Mrs. K from storytime. I’ve been in libraries in a variety of capacities for 25 years, and joined CPL in 2014. Volunteering in my high school library and taking my first library class as an undergrad later lead to me to studying library science.
I love working with children and getting to know them and their families and seeing them blossom into great readers. I love planning and creating new programs to interest and engage children.
I read mostly juvenile fiction always trying to catch up on some new titles, such as Just Harriet, by Elana Arnold. I sneak in an adult mystery, such as The Maid, by Nita Prose or fun beach read when I can. Non-fiction is another favorite of mine.
